Another question: On the side of my Print Screen key, it says SysRq. What does this mean?

SysRq key:
| There is no standard use for the key. The BIOS keyboard routines in INT 16 simply ignore it therefore so do the DOS input routines in INT 21 as well as the keyboard routines in libraries supplied with high-level languages. |
Hmm, found that in a major google search.

The Insert key is easy. Try it, you'll see.
It either s the newly typed text, or writes over it.

Cool link paxx! Thanks.
Question: What is the point of the NumLock key? Does anyone ever turn it off?
Reply #12 Friday, April 16, 2004 11:57 PM

...It 'turns on' the numbers on the Numpad on the right of the Keyboard...

NumLock, on the other hand, is not so useless. It lets the numeric pad (the right side of the keyboard) switch between numeric input or the ins/del/etcetera functions. Okay, so the entire numeric pad is redundant, but those keys do have different scancodes than their equivalents elsewhere on the keyboard, meaning that you can safely use 'em as hotkeys.
I've got NUM+ and NUM- mapped to volume up/down for instance, while NUM/ tells foobar to play a random track, etcetera.
