Is Cursor XP the best skinning program ever?

Maybe, maybe not, but its got some imaginary skins for it. I just looked at most of the skins in the library so I can add to my collection and I never saw so many different types of skins.
And I don't even have the full version of Cursor XP. I can't imagine what else I could have or other option that would make the cursors 'explode' with more styles.
I think if you are new to skinning trying out Cursor XP will help. You'll learn quickly how animations work as well as other stuff. (In my personal opinion)
Its pretty cool app and I am glad I have it. What does anyone else think about Cursor XP?

On my personal oppinion, I think is one (if not the best) cursor program I have come across. I've been using it for over a year now and I just wouldnt replace it. Never had any problems with it. Skining it is as much fun as it is uncomplicated.

Cursor XP was the first Stardock product I downloaded a year ago, and I still love it. It's definitely a terrific app. 
Some people at work have downloaded Comet Cursors onto their computers, and I always have to stop myself from laughing when I see them. First of all, because those cursors suck, and second of all, because it's nothing but spyware. Yuck!

I bought CursorXP and use it for the ease of changing out cursor sets vs. using the mouse settings in the control panel. I only wish, like with IconPackager and WindowBlinds, that the cursors stayed applied during start up and shut down, not only when CursorXP is running. That momentary glimpse of the plain ole MS cursor during the logon and the initial startup of your desktop. It'd be nice if there was an option to change when it started for folks that don't have multiple users on one computer...moving cursorxp.exe from a user process to a system process.

CursorXP was one of the first products I downloaded as soon as I got WinXP running in my computer...

True Essencay, but that doesn't bother me as much any more. I guess I got used to it.
Anyway, I truly love the way it works. I think it is very smooth and the most unique out of all the skinnable apps I have seen so far.
By the way, I am not sure why people go for Comet Cursor so much. maybe they don't know about Cursor XP.

Yes, Windowblinds is better as far as total skinning, but when it comes down to how much you can manipulate it, there are limits.
Cursor XP can be used by the novice of the expert alike and some really 'imaginative' skins can be the result.
Maybe I feel this way because the recent Windowblinds skins have been similar in some respects... but then again some submissions for the GIUO have been outstanding.

There are limits to waht you can do with WB but the way things are going that won't last very long. They are adding more options all the time and more flexibility. Windowblinds is hands-down, top of the list.

Though I don't use it, I'm surprised is that ObjectBar doesn't seem to get a lot of acknowledgement...only 207 skins...with all this effort being put into creating and tweaking and pushing the limits of WB to get unique taskbars and startmenus....objectdock can do that for you. Running Win9x/2000 and want an XP startmenu...you've got it. Compact menu....really, really compact...ditto. Mac-style...again it can do it. Startbutton on the right and system tray on the left...yet again it can do it. I think anything that someone could possible think of for an explorer taskbar/startmenu replacement can be handled by it. Mutliple bars...that can be done to. I think if there were a SkinStudio product for creating Objectdocks, people would jump onto that product.

My opinion is that for skins design, nothing beats the folks in the Winamp 3/5 scene.
And as for ease of creation, Beatnik or Quicknotes would win that one.

That's down to it being a pain to figure out how to skin.
It's something that oft been brought to Stardock's attention, and ObjectBar 2 is said to have been overhauled to make it much easier to skin. So it's likely it'll take off in popularity, which would be excellent, as it really is an under-appreciated gem.

SMBinary https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=4&SkinID=243 is what got me to use OB but the lack of creativity has turned me off. It seems it's just used for people to make their WB's for another application. If it had more creative skins/themes like Talisman II or hoverdesk I think I would start useing it again. JMO.

Actually.....turning a mouse pointer into just another mouse pointer is fairly bland.....something like Sysmetrix....that can be all things to all people is more engaging as a proggy and as a skinnable...
