Leo Laporte leaves Techtv

I am a big fan of techtv and I saw today that Leo Laporte has left Techtv.

He's a dumb ass doesn't know shit never should have been the main host.........nothing against him he is fun to watch but he's dumb

I am sure that the issue with the stock options was enough mony to make it worth his while to quite. I supose Comcast could come back and hire him after the sale, if they wanted to. But I would wager he will have enough money to not worry about the Day job afrer that.
On the bright side The Screensavers has been very good with Pat and Keven, and not that I mide to much, But there is alot less Mac, Mac, Mac. These days.

I don't know that I'd label him a dumbass, but he always struck me as more of a schmoozer,always talking over the guys really answering the questions. Leo looks to be quite the player....he'll land on his feet and pad his bank account in the process

Maybe "Call for Help" is a jinx, First Chris Pirillo, now Leo.

By the way, does anyone know why Chris left TechTV? I tried to find out, but never did.

Leo...gone...good. Maybe now the guests can finish thier answers. I worked in broadcasting for 10+ years, not much in the grand scheme of things, but enough to know that the only person on the air that aggrevates me more than Leo is Wolf Blitzer. Both of them could talk for hours and say nothing! And when one of the guests gets to the point, they cut them off to ask another stuiped question that won't get answered. Maybe now I'll watch Tech TV again.

leo was never the Favorite of The Tech Crowd. What he was great at was apealing to the Normal People, and the Newbies, In that respect he was a great host. Maby not the greates ever. But he got my Grandma to watch Call for Help. Thats saying something.

I never really liked him either.  I always liked Pat better when they were together at the ScreenSavers.  There was a time where Leo was always Microsoft hyped, always prefering Microsoft products over other ones. Funny how all of a sudden he changed his tune since he bought a Mac (after the release of OS X).

Leo is a good guy. I've met him when I was on the show and he's very intelligent. It's a definite loss to everyone.
