Anybody notice the newest WB update? Wow!

First off, If you (haven't) got the most recent update, then this thread will be moot.
I updated last night and I noticed that when you change from one skin to another, that it will morph to the next skin.
Atleast, it does for me.
I thought it was a neat effect.
It seems, they're bringing a little of DesktopX over to windowblinds. Or that's what it feels like.
Most of the time, unless I look, I haven't a clue what was updated. But this was a noticable effect.

I installed the newest version earlier today, and now my Outlook Express isn't skinning properly. 
Where the frame seprators/scrollbars and bottom taskbar should be, instead shows partial graphics of the underlying window or desktop. IE seems to be okay, it's only happening in OE.
But yes, I do see the "morphing" effect when changing skins.

It dont work too well with WindowsFX running, window are ok but the Taskbar screws up

Ama02, that problem is fixed on the internal build, and should be up on Object Desktop soon.

Only the XP version gets the new faster skin apply & 'morph' feature.

Internal build? Not sure what that is...but I can wait until the next beta version (if that's what you mean). It's not affecting the actual programs (it's now happening on IE) or browser functions. I get around it now by minimizing the window to taskbar, then remaximize it. Thanks for the info!

Internal build just means the latest development build. The developers are obviously running a step or two ahead of what is publicly available as they work on the features for the next release, so an internal build would be a test point for the developers and QA to test drive to see how the features are progressing.

Don't know about which version you're talking about but the latest 4.29f[rc].002 get troubles the 4.29e[rc].002 did'nt have, on the first restore action of a maximized window

The morph is cool but the I think the best change is the fact that WB is no longer creating 70-80 .wb4 files. Now there are five files. The 4 windowframes and a BLOCK.wb4 (about 92k on the skin I'm currently running. This is a lot less messy.

I love the quick changes between skins. It was driving me nuts having to wait around every time I applied a skin. Sure it was only 5-10 seconds, but they add up fast!

Just downloaded it and skin changing is quickvery quick. A tip of the old ball cap to our buds at Stardock

CerebroJD - you could change skins in 5-10 seconds?? It usually takes about 20-30 to finish applying on this poor steam driven machine...When I tried the build with the accelerated changes, it failed to apply the new skin properly at all with lots of graphics being left blank or solid black...I'm leaving it a few versions before tryign again, though some of the things in the latest Skin Studio need the latest WB build and they look so useful that I can't wait to get it working

Well, it was still applying at the 10 second mark, but I could do some stuff, like switch windows. It was just slow.

Oh boy! I really can't see the morphing that much to be honest, but this build is -much- faster for me. Very happy!
