I am having a similar problem. When I try to apply a suite the program crashes when trying to access the WinStyles.ini file, every time. I have reinstalled several times and get nothing. Also, when trying to save a suite, i get a similar crash with a .dll file. Any help on this?

If it matters, Theme Manager has replaced winstyles. Try installing Theme manager if you have not already.

That doesn't do much freeken good when the newest freeken suite says you need to have winstyles installed and then the install fails. What is up with that

Use theme manager. It'll be able to run it.

Theme Manager always causes winstyles to crash on me and it rarely loads my themes properly. Here's what I do. Uninstall Theme manager, reboot if its holding a .cpl file(control panel file), then delete the directory and reinstall Winstyles. That's how I do it.
Save your themes from the Theme Manager directory before you uninstall it. And copy them to the Winstyles theme directory after you reinstall.
