Trillian Library request

I find a couple of references to it on this message board. First one was somewhere in 2001. Last reference was October last year. Even a poll was held, I believe.

many have been trying to get a rainlander section posted (most WB's and sysmetrix skins now have matching ranys included in the zips) ...

Most of the skins lack any imagination so I'm forced to stick with a skin that is ok, but at least is an improvement over the default.

But the basics all stay the same I guess. You have your images, and with some xml language you put them back together. The xml tags may differ a bit, but the principle stays the same.

| Has anyone tried making a trillian skin? How hard is it? |
I haven't tried to make one yet, but Alexandrie tells me it's not easy to skin at all.
I can't find a skin I truly like. Beacon is ok, except some of the mouse-overs are misaligned, and I can't read the font. I tried to change the font, but had no luck.
I was going to try to fix the mouse-overs too, but the format is not vert friendly IMHO, and I decided I'd wait and figure it out later, after the GUIO is over.
If I could only change that 'Hoodge' font, to something I can read, or even increase the size, I could put up with the mouse-overs for now........

how about just ping all XML files at once into a tabbed text editor and do a find/replace for all files? just be careful not to click "Replace All At Once" as you have to go through this step by step (you have to change the font size as well).
free tabbed text editors:
NoteTab Light (easy to use) http://www.notetab.com/
SciTE (one of my personal favs, configured with text files, so for power users only) http://www.scintilla.org/SciTE.html

I agree that Trillians skins overall don't seem to have much imagination for the ones I have seen. There have been polls here about having a section, however the winner of the last poll was Rainlender and that section has still not appeared.
