how to capture screen movie shots

Can anybody help and point me in the right direction for a tool to capture a movie shot of a desktop in action? I am after capturing a screen show of about 30 seconds. Are there any good tools at a reasonable cost available?

I haven't been able to download Camstudio for a couple of days now. At first I thought it was because the site was down.
Does anybody else get the "page cannot be found" error or is it due to something blocking it in various layers of security I have on my PC? I'd appreciate a post if anybody else can either download Camstudio or gets the same error. I'll know then if it is my problem or not.

Yeah right. $300 is a bit hefty.
Alpha-Prime, I believe camstudio is no longer available. eHelp, the company who was making it, was bought by Macromedia and now camstudio has morphed into RoboDemo and sells for $500.
I personnaly use a tool that comes with Microsoft Producer. It does a good job. You can download Producer for free on this page.

Many thanks Paxx for the explanation and links. I have MS Powerpoint 2003 so I'll give Producer a try.
