Och, ayeElvis?

Thursday, March 25, 2004 by Larry Kuperman | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

A while ago I wrote a light-hearted tribute to Scottish skinners, and to my friend Hippy in particular.

Many people (well, mostly my family) said that it was pretty funny. I believe that no good deed goes unpunished, so I have written a sequel over at my blog. It was inspired by the news today that none other than Elvis Presley has his familial origins in the land where men wear skirts. In a manly way, of course.

You may ask what this has to do with WinCustomize.Few people know that Elvis was a skinner. Unfortunately, the technology wasn't ready yet (he couldn't get the sequins to stick to the screen) so he had to find other outlets for his creative talent.

Elvis taught me everything I know about skinning.
The man was a dynamo in Photoshop. He could work it with one hand while holding a burger in the other.

You think I have a mind? That would only be a handicap in sales!

I want to make fun of that typo. But it's just so funny on it's own.
