user profile

I have been trying and trying to upload my desktop image for my user profile(using jpeg from my pictures)and I keep getting this error message "The page can not be displayed HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". This is driving me insane....any ideas?

It took me about 8 tries over 2 days to get mine uploaded.
