1st, it's not bad. So I'm picking at things, and it's all just my opinion of course....

The grey background works with the title section...The title animation is fine.

The left "buttons" look a little lost to me - they're not 3d looking but they're not anything else either, they have abrupt ends, and the stipyness when you have a lot of them stacked together looks too busy.

One pet dislike of mine though is web sites which don't scale (width) to the window size, and yours doesn't.

On more subtle things - the layout/size is slightly different on the home page to the page with the wallpaper menu expanded.

On the content - since the Windows logo etc are all (c), it must be running the risk that MS will object as so much of the content is "theirs". They've had some high profile cases against people doing things which they feel gets too close to their property...Personnaly, I wouldn't offer a file looking just like their trademarked logo for download as that would be a step too far for most companies I would think....the wallpapers you can probably get away with.

I like the silver look. I browse with Opera7 and dverything opened nicely. It would have been nice if the main body of the site filled more of the screen, and there was no link to Wincustomize in the link section. Otherwise a great effort. I hope it keeps growing and is a great success.

really nice site, though I have to agree with sput , the left buttons really would look spiffy with depth or animation. you are gonna put a link to wc there right? do you plan to fill any of the right or left space with something?.. I guess it would look really busy with too much, but it's kind of looking lost at the moment. will return often, as it's a nice site with interesting content. Thanks for the link.

thanks guys... I need some good thoughts and ideas...

Sput: I think you are right... I will remove the resources section... I've been thinking that maybe it wasnt needed and it might be a bad idea... so thanks for the insight... the layout size is due to the content added to the home page (NEWS)... so it will be back to normal when it is updated. I wanted a site that would fit any browser width and height easily... since I am using an iframe and tables, its not going to expand and contract without working on it... so I'll figure that out.
I'm working on buttons for it tooo...

tjesterb wulfn1: I AM going to put a WC link on there... just working on it for 2 weeks now... getting sleepy...

McGiff Style: Thanks for the nice comments...

I'm Glad You All like it and are so insightful and supportive

Overall a very nice site...Just be nitpicky here

1. buttons...on main page....you have what looks like incomplete buttons in a menu on the main page that only interact (mouseover) the text. It would look better if the ends of the buttons were finished and your cursor interacted with any part of the buttons....or lose the buttonized appearance of the menu and do a menu background that encompasses all the ions like you did with the links across the bottom.

2. When you click on the 'Wallpaper Gallery" in the menu, it would be better if the sub-menu expanded on the main page vs. jumping to a new page. Also would be nice if you clicked on one of the other items in the menu that the sub-menu would close.

3. I'm using IE6 and scrollbar uses my scrollbar vs. one you define for your site. I always like it when a site defines their own scrollbars.

4. Main Image doesn't expand when window expands...looks lost and tiny on large monitor or in fullscreen.

Good Luck...it looks like it's going to be a nice design

I miss the little bars on the navigation panel, would have liked to see those stay, and react to a mouseover giving the impression they could be pressed like a button.
Looks nicer over all with the wider center panel. doesn't look like it's missing information anymore. still think I'll visit often. Thanks wstaylor!

Looks nice. I didn't see what it looked like at first, I came to this thread to late for that, but what I see there now looks nice. Did you create the Flash piece yourself, or did someone else do it for you? That's one thing I haven't got into yet.

You got a bookmark in my browser.

My bigest peeve is the lack of transparency on the FirFox and IE logos. I know this my sound odd, but I find that images that have backgrounds that are different than the sorrounding page's background seem rather tacky and...not professional...
