I missed the news.

Being I have used for so long a browser other than IE, I am only today learning of the demise of WebBlinds. A question I have, being that I will be forced to use IE more often than I would like as of now is if WebBlinds is now gone, is there an Object Desktop replacement for its pop-up blocking functionality? Also, what was the reason for discontinuing it anyway?

Thanks in advance.

WebBlinds was discontinued because it had too many overlapping features with WindowBlinds.  Pop-up blocking really wasn't something that belongs in a desktop enhancement, anyway, and there are now tons of free pop-up blockers.  I, personally, use the google toolbar which not only puts a handy search in the toolbar, but also blocks pop-ups.
