Desktop Collage
Thursday, March 13, 2025 by Blaine Tellis | Discussion: DeskScapes
Back in the dark ages, 2008 or so, there was a DeskScape called Desktop Collage. Collage allowed you to add a directory of your own pictures which were then displayed as overlaid smaller windows on the screen. Used it quite frequently for a while, then forgot about it. Went back over an old drive and found reference to it and I would like to use it again if it still works, but I can't find the Dream on my old drives. Searching WinCustomize, I don't see it available. Anyone know where I might find it?
Thanks for any leads!

It was a dream for Deskscapes created by Stardock and shipped with an older version and I don't think it's available anywhere anymore.
I still have Neil Banfield's screensaver version, but it doesn't work anymore...same with the star field one.

For awhile at least Desktop Collage was a Premium Dream sold directly through the WC site. If you bought it that way, you quite likely can still find it to be downloaded from your Stardock / My Account / Product Downloads page under the "WinCustomize" tab. You'll need to log in.

It may have started shipping with DeskScapes at some point, I really don't remember.

You're correct, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I think it's a matter of codecs...but I could be wrong.

Could be a Win10/Win11 thing, it's still working for me on 10. I also had a look at my default dream directory and I see that it installed with my DeskScapes v11.02, so I'm my usual color of somewhat confused.

Must have been available without payment at some point, I don't see it on my Product Download page. Thanks

It was installed with DeskScapes 10. I still have it and it seems to work okay on Windows 11 Pro - 22631.5039, with DeskScapes 11.0.2.0.

Would anyone be willing to send me a copy of the file? Don't want to stir anything up but I would appreciate it.

You'd have to request that from Support as it's an account thing. Stardock's software cannot be 'shared' among members. Sorry, Blaine...but here's a possible 'fix' for your problem:
Quoting basj:
"Please raise support ticket using the link below, use "Ask a Question" option. Include all information details. Remember to record down the ticket number for future reference if needed. Do not raise multiple ticket, that will make your ticket back to the end of the line. Send once and wait. Ticket will be answer by the order they send in.
