WinCustomize Account questions

Wednesday, February 25, 2004 by PurrBall | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I was wondering how long you would have to be on the sit to be an old person. Also, how do you get to be a Sir?(or how much more I have to do)

There is really no 'better'. A SD customer contributes to the 'mother' company which in result will help maintain part of WC. A WC subscriber will contribute directly to the WC site and take off some of the load from SD.
Financial contribution and contribution via upload work it's what differs on the user level/class you get here. )

Neither is 'better'....they generally are the same people....

Direct support of this site is via the WC subscription [makes sense]

Purchase of Stardock products indirectly assists....and helps demonstrate an on-going interest/involvement with the world of skins and skinning through their use.

Longer-standing community members are generally both.....

So Jafo, how many years do I have to be on this site to be considered an "old person"? About how many more skins will I have to make to be an "apprentice"?
Just wonering. The user levels page says 99% of users will be citizens, but I think that might becoming a 95!

I don't have access to a list or tally of member rankings.....but we are close to a million members and my guess would be a substantially larger number than 99% are citizens...or for the arithmetically challenged... a substantially smaller number than 10,000 are not citizens....

It's not so much how long you're here, or how many uploads you have, but rather the quality of the uploads. 50 BootSkins won't count for near as much as 2 or 3 kick-butt WindowBlinds, or IconPacks, because of the differing levels of complexity. But this is just one Moderator's opinion........ I can't speak for rest of the Wizops, and Admins. *winky*
