Im not understanding why Naroon deserves to be called out here and in this way. Have you tried messaging him at all?

Yes, it was my suggestion to Naroon to post a monthly thread re AI art. It could equally be anyone doing so.
It's a bit like complaining that Doc posts the screenshot threads each month [mostly].
Both threads are open to anyone's input, 1 for AI walls/art, the other is for desktop screenshots...

I'm not sure what you are complaining about. The WinCustomize Gallery is basically the Sed & AzDude site, and has been for quite a while.
At the beginning of the February 2025. it says: Show Us What You Got, Or Created, inviting others to post.

That makes sense. Naroon also took an unconventional approach towards posting his artwork in a way that really could have failed as well. No one before him even thought to posting all their work on forum postings. It just so happens that it was actually successful. No reason to be upset over that. Anyone could have taken that risk.

Where did he write that? I couldn't find it.
The reason you might not be getting the recognition you seek could be because you and others upload several images per day and room on the home page is limited, and you get pushed off fairly quickly. People used to complain about that years ago.
naroon1, per Jafo's suggestion, posted his works in his thread which is open to others, as well. Btw, as other posts get comments and new posts are made, his post gets pushed off the home page just like the images.
Jafo then suggested to him and LightStar to post threads on a monthly basis.
He gets more hits than the monthly post I (mostly) put up too. pelaird as well, gets more responses than the tech subjects I post about. Do you hear me or anyone whining about that? No. We're all glad to increase traffic on WC.
WC is a community, sed. It's not a competition between AI bots. You owe an apology.

Sed. When did i ever even mention "Recognition" In Connection to you or any other member of the forum concerning Walls. Never would be the answer to that one Bud.
You are more than welcome to post your walls in the Monthly Topic I Use For My AI Art, I do not see how a monthly topic can be seen as " The Naroon Site". Yes It Is Proving To Be Very Successful with Thousands Of Views, and Yes Again, it is almost completely made up of My Work, but not inclusively. I am proud of what i have Created and posted in said Topics, and i am even more proud of how successful it has become (I had no idea until Jan told me , my larger 2024 Topic had over Half A Million Views). Being told this, just encouraged me to Create A Monthly Topic After Advice on doing so from Jafo and Jan.
Your Walls Are Very Good, so instead of being upset about how popular that topic is, Join in and post your walls and enjoy having Thousands of Peeps see and Download your work every month, I welcome Any And All members

I doubt I'll ever be a massive fan of AI [certainly not until it understands Architecture as well as I do] but there is no doubt it is popular... the 'views' don't lie.
It's only going to get more popular [and common] so me the dinosaur must give in to the new.
I could see its popularity, hence the thread request.
We're 3 weeks into February and the current thread has around 50,000 views that's a lot of interest ...

There is one advantage to posting in the WinCustomize Wallpapers & Dream Galleries, and that is they are automatically integrated into the DeskScapes config app. This makes it easy for DeskScapes users to download and apply desktop backgrounds. I don't know if when a wall is downloaded from DeskScapes if it is added to the total downloads count in WinCustomize, but Doc or Jafo could probably answer that.

As Gertrude Stein put it, "A download is a download is a download."
Yes it's counted (as far as I know) since Deskscapes "withdraws" it from the Gallery "bank", as it were.
Downloads from naroon's thread aren't...which is unfortunate as he can't follow the popularity of various subjects...cars vs. demons vs. angels, etc.

It's 100% wrong to blame another user for lack of recognition. The monthly AI wallpaper posts are open for everyone, so nothing is stopping you from uploading your walls there and/or in the wallpaper gallery. I have even submitted a couple myself to these posts and don't upload much to the gallery anymore. I think the reason fewer people visit the gallery is because the web is flooded with AI-generated art/walls and more and more create their own walls because it's very easy with all the AI-bots everywhere.
