Shut down and DesktopX

Monday, February 23, 2004 by Technician | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

No big deal,

But when I shut done my computer "I am running Windows XP Pro".

When the Windows Kernal sends a command to DesktopX to shutdown,
DesktopX is not properly responding.

I get the a window the program is not responding and will shutdown, with a counter.

My guess...and that's just what it is because I've never run into this before is that it is not DesktopX, but one of the DX Objects that's causing it. Have you tried running DX without any objects loaded to see if you have the same problem shutting down?

Could be one of the objects, not running much a have the default Search object, Clock object and IconX for the desktop icons.

this happens for me. I have never worried about it because I have several programs that I run in the background that xp has to force close. It doesn't mess anything up.
