A year gone, a new one is here...Happy, healthy and prosperous 2025, to all of us here at WC and the Michigan SD folks!
Mine to start this year is my desktop from last month: Evolve WB by BoXXi (not yet published) based on Winstep Technology's Evolve Xtreme with docks from that skin, and wall by me, AI and Ps.

I've been doing quite a bit of computer system work. This is my 'main' machine, yes, still running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 but with a V10 vintage VMWare Windows 10 Pro 64.... a precursor to probably going dual boot to a native 10.
I managed to double my ram for a quarter the price of the first lot though I still need to remove the CPU cooler to fit slot 4 and 5 [it's an 8 slot MoBo] ... so currently 48gig of DDR4.
All 7 physical drives except one are now SSDs [one of those is an M.2 .... running the Win 7 OS even when that was yet to be supported.... there was a 'way'].
Changes to the system HD setup means I now have room for what will be a 64gig page file and I don't have to keep culling planes out of my 'H' drive for FSX from running out of room.
The reasoning for so many drives is the capacity to do redundancy backups - 6 of those are hot-swap.
My M.2 drive apparently has about 2.5 years of life left so I've ordered a replacement for when it snuffs it. By then it'll be 12 years old.
I'm not too sure I'll be around to care if/when the second one reaches end-of-life .... I might beat it there....
Oh, and Happy New Year, too. It was around this time in 2015 I first built this machine....

One of my favorite screenshots, from 2016. Windowblind is Brass Works by the very talented Dave Bax whom we all miss. The beautiful wallpaper by cmarius, who has not been around for some time. Anyway I can not make a decent screenshot with my windows 10. I do have fences though. Could not be without them.

Lovely! Yes Barb, Dave was a huge loss...but he loved and missed his lady so much and now they're together for eternity...

Getting close the finishing this style. Had to rebuild from scratch due to major corruption at some point to the color files for the taskmanager, could not get the working. Just have 1 more style to re-implement. (This allowed me to refine some things at the same time.

Dark Dreams wb by Lightstar modified a little. If you get it now, Tom has updated it and it looks a bit different. The Rainmeters are by adni18 & xenium-ART. Tron Cinderella wall by AI, PS & me.
