My son, Omar, while playing with my computer, corrupted the hard drive sooo badly that I had to reformat it-I lost almost 4 GB's of progs & music.
Now I manage to survive that; but yesturday when I got home from work, my wife tells me that the VCR isn't working. She couldn't insert a tape. On examination I found that it was stuffed full of paper! Guess who? Like I said, "Gotta love 'em!"
But enough about me and my adventures, how about you & your kids?
Looking forward to some great stories.

i'm sure we can find a few aussey words that stem from mis pronunciations or different dialects..
edit: my point is.. you constantly rip on the 'ignorance' of people in the states. considering we're the size of 50 countries in europe with an equal number of different races, i think that gives us the bandwidth to have as many misconceptions as 50 different countries. and amazingly enough, we havn't fought 50 different wars with ourselves.

That would include nearly every word in the English dictionary as pronounced by an awrstraylyun.

Not quite right, but my father was over there in '76 for the Ride across America [Bike-Centennial],,,and came across people who could not understand how Australians did NOT fall off the planet because they were underneath it.
Really a bit sad.
Now, Aluminum is just a type-setting error in Webster's that seems to have stuck through ennui.
Add that to the latest trick of a Co in the US demanding the Macquarie Dictionary alter its 50 year old definition of 'Ugg boot' to include its mention [because it Trade marked a generic term invented in Oz, robbing its legitimate creator/s of a livelihood].
Generally, though it's all about reminding people that the same word means totally different things in different places.
