error creating a new account

hey, my two friends are trying to make accounts but it wont let them, it says that that name is already chosen. they have tried every name that they could possibly think of but it keeps saying that the name is already chosen. any one help??? is it a prob with the login or a prob with the people? 
please help...

Maybe you should choose a name that can be read, I don't understand all these weird letters, what's the point
