Pleez to help with skinnin'!?!?

All right, I've been playing with this whole OD thing and now I want to try a little skinning. I know I'm about the umpteenth person to ask for direction here, but the tutorial I've been trying to use says it's for an earlier vers. of WB. [I have WB4] Prob is my vers doesn't do what the tutorial says it should. I've had several starts but I can't seem to get the ffects I want. I'm sure some of you are groaning at the sight of this, but I would appreciate any pointers,especially if they point to a more up-to-date tutorial. Some of you guys are making some really awesome stuff ands now you've got me hooked and I'd like to be more of a contributor than just a user. Where's the "Skining for Dummies" book when you need it?
