I'm pretty certain someone made a mistake.....seeing as you can buy the same card for $659 elsewhere.

Interesting footnote on the price when you go to the linked product"

HP is not liable for pricing errors. If you place an order for a product that was incorrectly priced, we will cancel your order and credit you for any charges. In the event that we inadvertently ship an order based on a pricing error, we will issue a revised invoice to you for the correct price and contact you to obtain your authorization for the additional charge, or assist you with return of the product.

sigh... If any of you had bothered to do a little research. The $17,000 version of that card has far more advanced features than the much lower priced ones. Such as "True 3D" rendering. It creates solid objects from pixels. Don't gape , it's true. Provided you have a monitor that supports transmutation and a RealTek Interdimensional-Ethernet adapter.

Both of those peripherals are also reasonably priced by the way.

Well thats understandable Caddy, I myself have this card and it's turning out to be quite useful. I was pretty hungry this morning but didn't feel much like cooking. I drew myself a nice breakfast ... eggs, bacon, fries, coffee and clicked Render. It was delicious.
