Slimming down the Theme

Tuesday, February 3, 2004 by Tesseract | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I recently submitted a theme, and was rather amazed to see the filesize over 2MB.

I try to be a good boy, 21k main page on websites 'n all... but this kinda irks me. I may be blessed with DSL, but I know a lot of people still aren't.

Is there a way to implant a jpg or png as a bg file?

BMP - 3,312KB, PNG - 1,295KB, JPG - 136k

The new beta's of DesktopX support JPG. Right now it's up to 2.09d.

Piffle. I don't have the subscription to Object Desktop anymore. I guess I'll just have to wait or buy again.
