Adding a firewire port to a computer case...

Monday, January 26, 2004 by GreatSilverWyrm | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hey all, I'm going to put together a new computer soon, the case I picked out has a hole next to the usb and audio ports that you can stick a firewire port in..
I was just wondering if anyone knew where to get a firewire port that would stick in the hole..?
.
Here's a link to the case if that helps...http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=11-150-058

Some MOBOs have them on-board (eg ASUS, GigaByte etc)

Otherwise an add-on card is needed.

Yeah, I know that, I mean the little panel with "convenience ports" on the top of the case (see the link), in most cases that have them they're on the front, but this one has them on the top
