The worm will perform a DoS starting on February 1, 2004. On February 12, 2004 the worm has a trigger date to stop spreading.

In the time he was here, about an hour and a half... his mobile phone was ringing non-stop.
Every call was from idiots who had opened unknown email attachments, and infected their computers.
I could literally see the excitement on his face, and the dollar signs in his eyes
