Q for SDC users

Monday, January 26, 2004 by Chris TH | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I'm getting an annoying behaviour with sticky threads not staying 'stuck' when viewing the discussions using Stardock Central (SDC). Right now it's 'January Desktop Screenshots' & BootSkins - Yet another thread' which are behaving like any other topic - i.e. the position in the list is according to the last update (I have them sorted by 'Last Updated').

If I reset the list it comes good, but on closing SDC & opening later, the problem's back.

If anyone else is getting this also I was wondering if it's worth going to the Stardock's newsgroup with a report?

Maybe the way to quicker results is to ask:

Do any SDC users here not have this problem ?

If so what version of SDC are you using - mine's 1.22.247 build 38 (FWIW)

In SDC, Right-click on any of the Message Board buttons and select "Reset List" from the menu this will update the message board and place all sticky threads at the top

I know, but it shouldn't be this way right?

[talking to myself again - at least I have my attention ]

The other thing I noticed is it's not all the sticky threads that get lost. It seems only the most recent ones...

Is it possible it's something at the server end not 'tagging' them correctly?

It's always done this to me........ they remain 'sticky' until someone makes a new comment in one, then that thread starts sliding down the list. Weird huh?

I just downloaded the 1.23 beta build and it looks fixed in that

Check the stardock.sdcentral newsgroup for details on getting the beta ...
