Alphabetizing Rainlendar Skins

Monday, January 26, 2004 by Dianekk | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I know this is not a WC problem, but really don't know who else to ask as I have done everything I know of to try to solve this problem. Maybe it can't be solved. When I try to change my Rainlendar skins, they are all gee-whipper-jawed and in no kind of order. Since I have literally hundreds, it takes forever to find the one I want. They are in alphabetical order in my actual Rainlendar file and when I add one but when I go to change a calendar by right-clicking my calendar, they are in NO order whatsoever. How can I put these in alphabetical order? Maybe I did something wrong or maybe this is a no-brainer, but my brain sure can't figure it out. Would sure appreciate any help any of you can give me. Thanks...hope this is not a stupid blonde thing on my part. .

Open C:\Program Files\Rainlendar\Skins and in right click menu/Arrange Icons, check Auto Arrange/By Name. Open and close Rainlender.

Unfortunately that is a problem w/ Rainlendar, all the skins are in the order they were last downloaded. Hopefully we'll see a solution in the next upgrade.

that´s something that depends on your filesystem. it happens with Winamp as well if you have it on a FAT partition. if you have WindowsXP consider converting your partition to NTFS, not only will your Rainlendar skins be in alphabetical order, but also (and that´s even a bigger bonus) you´ll be able to have compressed and/or encrypted folders.

oh, well ...
just been to Rainy´s site and guess what: Rainlendar v.19 is out since yesterday and should solve your problem. consider NTFS anyways though.

Thank you all for the time to help me with this. As Moshi said, the new Rainlendar v.19 solved the problem and everything is all in a nice little order now. (Guess they must have heard me complain and decided to put out a new Rainlendar to solve my problem) . Anyway the new update is great. Thanks again.
