Spyware in StarDock apps?

Wednesday, January 21, 2004 by kona0197 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I just got a email from a guy called m_faccone blasting me for saying Webshots has spyware in it. He said all Stardock Apps have a crap load of spyware especially SDC.

No true right?

I never said webshots was a Stardock proggie.

I was just pointing out he was mad that I said webshots did have spyware. He then wrote back blasting SDC.

I know there is no spyware that i am aware of. I just was being sure and started this thread to find out as well as to prove to m_faccone that there is no spyware in SDC.

Sorry for the confusion!

He just emailed again. he says something about if you uninstall SDC then it still leaves 2 files that "call home" as he puts it.

Why would I want to Uninstall SDC?

Anyways...

I run both AdAware and Spybot on my computer, and believe me, there's no spyware in Stardock apps. m_faccone just wants to be yankin' yer chain.

It would be very easy to tell if it was dialing out.

Personally I would be upset if SDCentral didn't contact Stardock
