Regarding screen captures
Monday, January 19, 2004 by dabe | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
When I use the Capture docklet, it takes a beautiful image of my desktop. But, I cannot image the open start bar at the same time. So, I posted that issue, in which a program called Gadwin PrintScreen 2.6 would help. Well, it helps capture the open start bar, which is what I wanted, but I lose other stuff. So, here's my question:
Why is it that Gadwin will not capture the ObjectDock bar at all, ever, or the weather DX object? Yet, it does capture the DX clock. Also, using that program, my cursor is reduced to a boring arrow, rather than the Cappuccino cursor that I am actually using. Very strange. Any ideas? Are these but mere ghosts in our machines, having no reflections, as if ghosts in a mirror?

Seems to work for me.

Guess I wasn't fast enough with my answer, but it looks like we all came up with the same thing.

| just hit alt+Print Screen with the start bar open |
alt+Print Screen is for capturing 1 window. Print Screen with out the alt is for the entire desktop.
By the way, if you open the start bar, then press the alt key, the start bar will close.

This has proven quite handy to me in the past when developing various "How to" guides etc...
