Exposè

Sunday, January 18, 2004 by mrupallnite | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Is there one of those effects avail here where when you have multiple windows open and you hit f10 (i think) it will split all the windows up so you can see everything that is open in a smaller size then you click on one window and it maximizes? Macs have this functionality on the OS X version. Now, please don't flame me and say, "if that's what you want, buy a mac"....I have seen different features here that invoves the tornado effect when a window minimizes...yet another panther effect.

I promise, I'm not being rude about the flaming comment. I have seen some nasty comments in the past b/c people like mac features and this is a "Windows" customizing place. Please be nice to me. I'm fragile

there is no way windoze can handle the expose effect well...i've tried on a 3GHZ P4 with 512MB RAM and it was laughable

I have a 2.4 and 512 and it used to work just fine. I had no reason for it so I don't use it anymore.

Alt-Tab Replacement
With this PowerToy, in addition to seeing the icon of the application window you are switching to, you will also see a preview of the page. This helps particularly when multiple sessions of an application are open.

The use of the word "windoze" instead of "Windows" annoys me especially when used by Mac-lovers and Linux zealots.

well, i dunno - cuz, i have played around with some macs at compusa in the past - one had a flickering screen that jumped and one had to 'catch up' with my typing in works. I'm not impressed w/how it runs...but I LOVE the way they look.

Well I said something about the use of the word "windoze" because I have argued with Linux zealots before plenty of times and see "Windows" spelled that way gets quit annoying.
