Help with buttons

I'm making my own skin. For some reason all my button-like things are messed up. Such as my Tools. They are all messed up when I go over the tools. And on Skinstudio. And things like the buttons at the top of internet explorer like back, forward, stop, etc. It seems like my toolbar buttons, like the ones for windows are the skin being used. I want to use my button skin. I'll post pictures later if needed.

I'm not the only one talking to myself. good for you killer_thigh figuring stuff out on your own is always the best way to learn
