Why not paypal?

Why dont you guys setup a possible membership payment method under paypal. It seems to work for Deviantart, so why not give it a try?

no he means in addition to credit cards and money orders/checks, the use of paypal to secure a subsciption.

I have a paypal account, but I don't use it. Why would I? I have a credit card and the security of that is far more then paypal offers. I worry less about people stealing it because I would know quickly and more often than not the credit card company would reimburse me. I doubt paypal would reimburse you if somebody else started using your account...unless you sued them.

not the point travis. I think he was trying to say for those of us without a credit card paypal would be another good option. I have a paypal account and use it at least twice a week with ebay.

To get a paypal account you need to have a bank account. If you have a bank account, you most likely have or can get a debit card w/MC or VISA logo and it is accepted as a credit card.

Not true. You only need the back account if you want to transfer monies to the bank.
I know lots of people who get paypal accounts without needing a bank account. All you need for a paypal account is a email address. Now if you wish to get verified on paypal you need a bank account but that is not neccasary.
I have a bank account but they denied us getting a ATM card because of our past mistakes with credit cards and previous ATM cards.

ebay sales or you can have someone else transfer mney to you.
I have my paypal going through my bank so that I can put money in paypal to pay for purchases off ebay or so I can tranfer moneies i got from ebay sales of mine to the bank.
Hard to explain I guess. I just think it would be nice if StarDock had paypal going.

Okay I don't like eBay and I don't have a bank account and I have no friends that will transfer money into an account for me 'cause they don't trust me. How do I open a paypal account and put money into it?

Adding a bank account to your paypal account just offers more options available to you is all.
Sorry you do not like Ebay. Over the last year I have made lots of money there.

you can open a paypal acount and have nothing in it. The only money I have in mine is some from a program that I decided was worth the money and got a refund. The only way I could get the money was with a paypal account. Now I have 15 dollars that I can spend on any site that accepts paypal. If stardock started acception it I would buy cursorxp, but thats just because I have the extra 15 dollars that I can do nothing with. I have nothing associated with the paypal account except for a debit card for a bak account I no longer use, but I do have a couple of dollars in it to keep it.

Travis you can find something at ebay for 15 bucks. I got a top end Casio PDA for 5 bucks. (3 bucks shipping)

If you don't want to spend the $15 then you can add a bank account to Paypal then transfer the $15 to you bank account.

I've never understood the "Takes too long" deal. I usually hear the same people say the same thing a month later and they could have done it by mail 5 times in between...

ok I totally misunderstood your post Kona. I thought you were saying that you couldnt get the Paypal/ATM debit card (instead of the credit union debit/ATM card)..

I would take the fifteen dollars, but to do so I would have to go and talk to the people at my bank to do it. Its a long walk there (5- 10 miles) and I don't have a car right now. And I haven't got into the ebay thing. I am not into bidding and whatnot. Ah but I shall look
