February 2024 Desktop Screenshots
Tuesday, January 30, 2024 by DrJBHL | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Chilly here...and it influenced my desktop. Rainy, as well...snowing like crazy in the far(ther) north.
Anyway, Aero11 (clear) by SimplexDesigns, Start11 Modern Style, Fences 5 and Windows 7 Xtreme from Winstep Technologies. Wall...one from the web (which I dubbed the Ice Star), modified with on1 Effects 2024.
Hope it's warmer where you are...

you need to use a Theme Patcher, i use UltraUX ThemePatcher and StartAllBack for Win 11, much in the same way as Windowblinds needs Start11 to customize
No. Not "much the same way" at all. The UX "patchers" alter system files. Stardock's software never does that. Period.
If you alter system files, your warranty from MS is void. Stardock is an MS partner, so again, leave this topic.

No Red, it is a Theme, so the opposite or flip side of customizing your PC. Yes you need to use a Theme Patcher, i use UltraUX ThemePatcher and StartAllBack for Win 11, much in the same way as Windowblinds needs Start11 to customize, but SD apps are much safer to use, as things can go wrong using Themes if you do not understand how they work and what versions are compatible.
I use Windowblinds too as i like them both.

You should know better than encourage the use of UltraUX ThemePatcher and alike on Wincustomize and Stardock sites. Presenting and comparing those hacks as something alongside Stardock software is just wrong, and you know it. Do NOT continue down the road to make this screenshot thread, or any other, about your use or encouragment to use system hacks.
Far from encouraging JanOscar, i was asked a question and gave the answer. I always add some form warning about using Themes and The Patchers, and always add that SD is easier and safer to use.
How dare you accuse me of of making this or any other topic about my use of Themes and or patchers, you are over stretching your remit JanOscar and you are plane wrong. I contribute to many topic in this forum, covering many things.
I was asked by Red "So, it's not a WB, but a skinpack. So, does that require some kind of program like, ThemeUX or whatever it's called?I kinda like using WindowBlinds." I responded. I also told Red in comparison what was needed to use both sides of the customizing coin. Is free speech Moderated in this forum, can peeps no longer answer question.
I have broken NO Rules JanOscar, do not adopt this tone with me PERIOD as it is not warranted, needed or Right. If i have broken any rules then act, if not, then get off my back.

The issue with "ThemeUX" and its origins is it came from reverse-engineering of Microsoft Code which is and has always been in breach of Microsoft's EULA.
Clearly its use is sufficiently low-key that MS has not acted to enforce their restrictions most likely because it's simply valueless.
All that said, this is not the thread for a discussion of the legalities of an alternate system. It is for the showing of 'what is on your desktop'.
Let's move on.

Todays Desktop Is Mass Effect Theme V2 with matching Rainmeters.
Who did Mass Effect? Dats cooooool!
They Are Skinpacks Red, you get a Theme, Rainmeters, RocketDock, Cursors and Walls all in a Exe File. We take them apart and break them down into its parts, then we change them to our liking, mostly colour changes and image fixes, Dark Mode fixes etc.. I for one just need a Great Start Menu to pull me in, everything else can be adapted or changed to give us very different looking Themes. I have become used to seeing a theme and thinking ok, i will add Borders from this one and Taskbar from another, sometimes we do little.
So, it's not a WB, but a skinpack. So, does that require some kind of program like, ThemeUX or whatever it's called?
I kinda like using WindowBlinds.
