VIRUS ALERT !!!!!!!!

If you receive an e-mail titled: "It Takes Guts to Say Jesus". DO NOT OPEN IT. It will erase everything on your hard drive. This information was announced yesterday morning from IBM; AOL states that this is a very dangerous virus, much worse than "Melissa," and that there is NO Remedy for it at this time.

Anytime you get an email or message telling you to send it to everyone you know, figure somethings not quite right and look up the info/claims at snopes.com or other hoax related sites. Or actually visit real antivirus/PC security sites where the latest news can be found. Figure if something is really news, Kaspersky, Symantec, McAfee and others probably know about it and are more likely to be providing somewhat credible info than endless chains of emails spamming people.

Damn...I thought I would fix those guys...so I beat'em to the punch and erased my harddrive!...Oops!
On another note...I just realized that I'm using my WinBrowser and the icon indicating that isn't showing up...hmmmm!

This quote is a give-away that it is a hoax.
1) IMB and AOL have absolutely nothing to do with viruses (protection/notification)
2) AOL is mentioned whatsoever.
3) "...There is NO Remedy..." There is no such thing as a "No Remedy" virus...maybe for only a couple of hours after it's been in the wild.
Please... Search www.sarc.com before propagating this stuff.

Snopes is one of my favorite sites, never lets me down. 
I still get the emails forwarded to me by people who believe that Bill Gates is actually going to send them a bajillion dollars. I'm surprised that so many people still fall for that silliness. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised, there really is a sucker born every minute, but still...

n.b. took me 10 seconds to track this down - a little more thought before posting please
