no not really.
warning chauvinism ahead:
there are a lot of hot girls where I go to college. I added it up once. There are app. 28,000 students at my college. a little more then half are girls, so there are about 15,000 girls here. Out of those about 2/3 are goodlooking so there are about 10,000 goodlooking girls here. out of that about a 1/4 of the good looking girls would classify as hot so there are about 2500 hot girls where I go to school. And they all look better then kate in my opinion.

it depends on how you look at it really...
I've been with my wife nd consider us to have been married for 20 years. Yet my Son was my best man at our wedding

If you envy somebody else because they are single, than maybe you need to review your current situation.
I have been in love with my husband since the moment that I met him. I don't envy anyone who is "free". Wouldn't trade our relationship for anything- which is the way marriage should be. IP, I agree with the "marriage" thing. The only thing that changed when my husband and I got married was my last name...though I almost hyphanated it. Since my first name is "Angela", my maiden name was "Towne" and my married name is "Marshall", I could have been: "A. Towne-Marshall"....

is that show still running? i havn't watched tv in years.. i've just now gotten around to watchign the Friends seasons on dvd.
IPlural, i totaly hear ya. i took a social psych class where we looked at statistics revolving around marriage..amoung other things, our culture has less 'shame' then 40 years ago and everyone up and down the line has accepted people being together without being married.. even raising children. And, with two parents, doing it well. Marriage has become more of a tradition then a needed ceremony.
personally, i'm not keen on the idea of a big fancy wedding with a lot of people. too much. i want things small, informal, if at all. unfortionately my gf's got something else in mind

I watched a documentary on Drew Carey and his eventual fame. He had been a Marine right before he started stand up. He really was not accepted as very good by many until he noticed that he had a knack for being cynical and people loved it.
Mimi and Drew are a blast no doubt
They remind me of my sister in law and myself
We argue about the color of the sky at times when bored
yeah, we did also, thats why my best friend is the one who married us in front of the fire place with a few friends there.
Heck as rituals go I liked it a lot more than when my brohter was married and had hundreds of guests at a huge Church. But that was just my wife and I, how we felt, Mike and his wife lived for that wedding of theirs and it was fantastic for them.
You could tell the two groups apart at the reception though. Her family and friends all mingled and danced and such. Mike and my friends all sat around the kegs until they were empty and ended up running for more! ( just like old times growing up, except the this time we didn't have to worry about getting caught )
