December 2023 Desktop Screenshots

We seem to be approaching the end of 2023, and it can't be soon enough.
It's a month of holidays, so if you're celebrating whichever holiday, have a happy one!
Sorry to disappoint in the screenshot category...I'm still enjoying the last one I posted, with
Akula/Akula Extreme by vStyler ported to WSX by WebGizmos.
Wallpaper "Bridget" by Sed. I did recolor Akula a tad to make it easier on my eyes...

Here's the latest stats for users globally - and it doesn't change much no matter where you live. Except if you look to India, Asia & Africa where there are practically none. You can check it out here: https://gs.statcounter.com/screen-resolution-stats
Wow! I find that really hard to believe, but OK. I am definitely not going to a lower resolution though. I need a larger monitor and resolution.

I would like a larger monitor myself but there's nothing wrong with this Samsung that I use so it will wait.

I'm not saying you should, but the facts are not only on Statcounter (with way more than a million unique users per day). You will find the same results on other counters. Many users are on even smaller screens and resolutions today than earlier, because they use their phones, laptops and tablets/pads, and even nerds like me will be on a 1920X1080 resoultion computer screen until it breaks - like Chas.
Btw., did you know that 68% of all PC users worldwide are still on Windows 10 (Windowss 11= 27%) ? That's like it always has beeen and actually users upgraded more frequently earlier because there was more to gain. Remember some years ago, a PC was old and slow after a couple of years, but it's not anymore unless you are a dedicated gamer. For me at least, there's no reason to upgrade anything until I have to because the benefits would be marginal. Windows 10 vs. Windows 11 (source: Microsoft)

That may change after the holidays. The lastest steam survey showed one of the largest growths of Windows 11 users, I think ever. Windows 11 users (using steam) are now at a staggering 42% compared to 53% on Windows 10. This means a lot of people bought new pc's this year (at least gamers did) we will see if that holds true for non gamers as well once we see the post holiday adoption rates.

For a quick change (actually, a shameless plug for my newest wall), WB - Aero11 Sun substyle by SimplexDesigns, WSX - Windows 7 Extreme by Cellular and Winstep Technologies, Wallpaper - Lioness in Tall Grass by me (and DALL-E, Adobe and Topaz labs).
