Welcome to WinCustomize 2005!
Bear with us as wel get settled in..

The new WinCustomize is here!
Bear with us as there will no doubt be issues that we have to work through over the next couple of weeks. But we hope you like what you see so far.
The new site is designed to be more steamlined for both new users and power users. It also has a lot more content than the previous site and provides a bunch of new ways for users to participate (with more ways to come).
Let us know what you think. If you're running into performance issues, let us know. That's the part that's the trickiest to resolve since WC has so much traffic (millions of different users per month) that even one bug can cascade mightily.

do appreciate the possibility to search through authors' library and the many sorting options I can make based on my interest. What I miss, thanks the old system, is the option to see and search authors' library sorted by GALLERY. Maybe I missed it, but so far all the skins, from all galleries come out mixed together. That's very disorganized and hard to see what is what. Bootskin, wallpaper, coorsors, logons? Thank you all for caring, though....
Can you give a specific example of this? If you are on wincustomize.com, we have a gallery bar on the left hand side which lets you select your specific gallery, this does not appear on all pages, but is easily accessed from the home page. Also we do have a gallery tab which gives you a default view of all libraries, and you can click through to your desired library.
Hope this helps

For the most part, great performance increase. It does hang once in a while. Does anyone have a fix for the squishing of screenshots? I have uploaded 1280x1024 and 1280x960, both of which are shown as square. I never had a problem at old site, so I suspect issue is here at new site.
This was one thing we had to tweak from the old site due to performance page loads. We tried to give a "Big Enough" Preview so our users can get a feel for the skin, also gave the option of enlarging by clicking on the image if they wanted to see the screenshot in full effect.
Hope that answers your question.
Pundi.

I am liking it only marginally more than the old site. What I really don't like (and can't figure out how to remedy), is that I am now presented with the entire library contents on the left hand side, instead of just the ones I care about. Can anyone help me out here? ?
This is still a feature that we are looking into. We'll definately let you know if and when this feature is implemented in the upcoming releases of the site.

like is the fact that I have to scroll down to see any "Wincustomize News". I come to the sight to see what's new and cool, read any commentaries, etc. before I want to look at skins. Well, quite frankly I use Stardock Central to view Skins for the most part so I normally come to the sight for other things. Maybe allow us to to change this in our settings so that we can control what is displayed first or even displayed at all in the middle of the page. I personally would rather not see "Popular Skins" or the "Featured Suite" that is currently displayed at the top. Running at 1280x1024 and I still have to scroll to see the news. What do I like about the site? The thumbnails make me drool
. I'd love to see these within Stardock Central. They are very, very nice and clean. I also like the tabs.I did like the idea of being able to control the graphics of the site, being able to have our own "theme" that the site would display in. I'd like to see the old user control or some derivative come back.
Anyhoo, I think overall the site is great. Keep up the good work. I for one think I'm getting my money's worth at WinCustomze and Stardock.

I would like a color chooser back. Other than those, it's great.

The new site looks great (of course). My only issue so far is the ad in the header, I'm a subscriber so I probably don't need to see it thanks...... Any chance the Company might go "public"? If so, I want in!!!
Saw nothing which can be names as "Add"

I checked cookies, and wincustomize.com was blocked, therefore no cookie could be stored about being logged in. Now it's fixed. Nevermine

P.S. I don't like my other account's username, so don't ask if I want it back

- No customizing option for viewing the articles
- Slow
- No size information before dowloading...and, if I have well understanding, I pay for the dowloading weight ! Not right ?
