I am having an annoying problem out of the blue. I am constantly having to refresh the screens all the time on the message board. Any idea

Thanks China?Cat, Jafo. I use Norton System Works once a day to clean up ??. Another thing - don't know if its related. The right Mouse button is not working properly. When I right click on a file nothing happens. But the other user on the same computer (my wife)- it's working ok for her. Oh woe is me.

Forgot about mouse...do you get a right click in anything (desktop, explorer. IE, etc)?

Yes Gary. I can right click on Internet Explorer, I can right click on the start button. I cannot right click on the desktop or files. If I right click a file and go up to file on the tool bar, click "properties" nothing happens. But as I said everything works for the other "User" on the computer. I've reinstalled, up to date driver etc.

If I right click a file and go up to file on the tool bar,

you lost me on that...you right click on a closed file and you get what...?

eg. I go to my pictures, right click on a pic , nothing. Until a couple of days ago I could right click, "set as desktop background". Not now. But I can select it, go up to files and set it as the desktop background. I can select the pic, go up to files select "properties" Nothing ?? No figure.

now I got ya....have you installed anything in the last couple of days. If one or two options were missing it would probably be a registry problem, but this is something else.

Gary don't hit me. I uninstalled desktop X this morning thinking that might help. But no joy.

Well, here's the real kicker. DX really plays with right clicks. Sometimes it doesn't play
nice. You might want to re-install DX and see what the settings are. It can reside on your system without doing harm as long as it isn't loaded, but my guess is a theme changed a setting and it stayed that way when you un-installed it. Try the re-install of DX and change (or play) with the settings in config to see if it gives your right click back. If not, it's back to the drawing board....

Would it hurt to much to just make another account for yourself. If your wife's works it stands to reason a new one would too.

huh, I'm sleepy. Did you insult me or not? I don't think you did, but several of the voices in my head keep telling me to kill you, they start showing up when I'm sleepy.

Maybe i'm on the wrong thread all together...This little tiny post took me 3 minutes to write

I am sorry Travis, I thought it went with another thread. (it wasn't what you said, it was I just thought it was in the wrong thread). I hate when I get an attack of stupid.

Anyway, sorry,Bud
