Stolen Wallpaper

Monday, December 8, 2003 by Mynros | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I have been recently told that one of my Designs BloodGlass(red) below (also themed in blue OceanGlass and green AlienGlass)

was posted here by some one else without my consent or authorization!

I've have tried searching this website for the culprit so I could narrow down but can't find it just yet as there are so many. The person who told me, downloaded it here a while back and is getting back to me with more details, nickname and what my design was posted as.

I can prove this is my design and that I am the original designer of it in various ways.

[1] The design itself has a mistake in it.
[2] I know the exact amount of reflections and raytraced shadows there are in the design.
[3] I obviously have the original Max file and the original PhotoShop7 PSD that I used to color it.
[4] I can produce a wireframe version.
[5] Everything I post on the net I copywrite by using a simple technique called Framing. The image posted is cropped in slightly so anything outside the cropped area doesn't get seen, I can produce the intact original for the admin/staff of this website.

If anyone has seen MY design posted here could they please forward me the details or the admin of this website as I'd like it removed as soon as possible.

Thank You

I skimmed thru the entire wallpaper section and did not see it.

I have my doubts that this would have made it past moderation.....

I'm fairly regular to the wallpaper section, and I haven't noticed it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a 'similar' work around somewhere as it's a quite generic style, like palm trees and island sunsets...

If it does in fact exist here unlawfully it will definitely be removed, though I can't say I've seen it as yet...

Please get details before posting about things like this.  There are *tons* of glassy object type walls out there that look really similar to each other.  Please find the wallpaper in the library *before* posting a thread about it.  I can't say that this is one that I remember seeing, but it is also similar to a whole bunch that are out there.

I've been mum about this thread because it really lacks any meaning without pointing to the so called rip/theft...

It's no better than calling 911 and saying "I need the Police because someone, somewhere, some how has robbed me" and then hanging up...

IPlural. How did you find out I made that 911 call?? >

Mynros, I cant say I have seen that wallpaper here and as Jafo and KarmaGirl stated, there are too many of this type of walls here and without propper details of where the wall is or who uploaded it, it's very hard to take any action.

Possibly they had it confused with

this wall http://skins2.wincustomize.com/Hattrick/wallpapers/BloodLust.jpg

or this one http://skins2.wincustomize.com/Drawn/wallpapers/Smooth_Red_1024x768.jpg

or maybe it was lost in the database crash?

I think Gabriel's first link is the best of the three images....though it does show how generic they can be...

Well the pic posted at top I find spooky. (Not to say the graphics aren't well done.) Reminds me of a medical lab or that awful movie where a special minisub and crew are made minuscule and injected in someone's blood stream. Raquel Welch was in it I think. Probably as a scientist. Typical typecasting.

Or, pomegranates.
