The Silly Season...

Thursday, December 4, 2003 by Jafo | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Perhaps 'Thanksgiving' is to give thanks that the 'Silly Season' [Christmas] only happens once a year...

Certainly there's a time when odd creatures emerge from the woodwork causing all sorts of mischief...and this time it isn't termites...

There's no escaping it/them....the most closetted individual will encounter the wackos and odd-bods eventually.

Perhaps they're the human equivalent of that computer program 'bug' that always broadcasts its presence by nefarious means....some subtle, some not so.

The icon that reverts to default.....the 'bad or missing command interpreter' message....and everything in between.

There's always a choice....you sit there crying 'why me?'...or you engage in a little 'ultra violence, oh, my brothers'...

One thing is for sure......more than one 'silly season' and I'm loading for bear....

Get yourself a cup of hot chocolate. You'll feel so much better. Take it easy on the Beethoven though...

I would bet if someone was pointed to an active IP or email addy to finger they would be dinked on a whim and whisper left with only hope and a prayer, the Gremlins turned loose upon their Binary Buddy...

I'm thinking Jafo is really Santa in disguise.

Good list, bad list. Jolly old elf. I'm seeing some simularities here!

...whenever I get that old 'wish-I-lived-another-life-with-dogs-station wagons-picket fences-and KIDS' kind of feelings, I find it useful to re-read stuff like this.

....just thought, we could probably do with a WinCustomize light for ages 13 and below. OR at least a kiddy board....

er..... might be hard to find a moderator for that board though...

aussies have never been known around the world for needing a "Season" as an excuse to get "Silly".
