also
There are a number of utilities on the net which allow you to monitor and adjust
memory settings.
TaskInfo2003 is such a utility that give you more in depth information than most that
I have come across.
I would download and install the trial version so you can see exactly what is doing what.
This application gives the best in depth analysis across the board for your resources...

If someone hasn't suggested running AdAware yet, I'd toss that in. Along with a good online virus scan if it keeps up.Reply #14 Thursday, December 4, 2003 8:28 PM
Some graphics cards share slices of the CPU and Memory which can cause some really interesting things when a video cards driver ends up leaking in memory, or refuses to release memory and time slices when it is finished with them, only to grab more of those resources on top of what it already has when needed again...
That is just one possibility and it is also something which can happen with any version of Windows including NT...
It is also a real issue with Motherboards that have Integrated Video... Stay away from those, stay very far away....
fyi...
Windows NT = NT 3.5, NT 3.51, NT 4, XP, Server, Advanced Server and so on...
