Different cursor during logon process

Thursday, December 4, 2003 by infideldawg | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I am fairly new to using skins. I have somehow managed to get a different cursor that appears during the logon process, then goes away after a minute or so, then the regular cursor for the skin I am using appears. Any ideas as to what might be doing it or how to get rid of it?

I think what you're seeing is the default. CursorXP isn't running yet......

yeah it also happens if you run too many programs at once. I found matlab to be specially nasty to my precious cursor.

It's not the default cursor, it's some sort of animated matrix cursor; the cursor is a green arrow, and there is a block by it with digits cascading down like in the matrix. It's there for a minute or so, then the normal skin cursor appears.

I don't usually run more than 1 or 2 programs at a time, and the only skin programs I am running are objectdock stuff.

I thought it might have been something in the logon studio program, but can't find any info that it affects cursors.

You probably reset the default cursor in IconPackager.  You can change it back or to something else in IconPackager.  If you changed a Cursor in CusrorXP and in IP, you will only see the IP one on boot up.

Thanks, KarmaGirl. Will examine my settings closely and check for that.
