Bootskin Tutorial?

To bad the people that have already made bootskins for WC haven't written anything out any info about this.

Take one 640x480 image....
Reduce it to 4bit 16 colours....
Copy an existing ini file....
edit it in notepad to have the nnew image name....
New author details....
Zip them....
rename 'zip' extension to 'bootskin'....
Done.
Progress bar needs one more image....same 16 colour palette, and a location in the ini for where it is and how wide it progresses.

webgizmos....no, they are distinctly different in that the 'other' method requires a modified OS kernel...which has the potential to seriously destroy your computer enjoyment if anything goes bad.
The instructions yrag posted [claiming his cut] were mostly gleaned from the included text file....combined with my own dalliance with the proggy which I found to be quite simple, though the co-ordinates for the progress bar seem a bit 'off'....and not reading directly from the base image size, requiring some tweaking.....though that is probably a beta bug.....[the one called 'JAFO']...
