Idea for Object Dock

Tuesday, November 25, 2003 by MrStolpe | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I had an idea for a docket or if it can't be done by a docket maybe they can add it to Object Dock.

I Folder of types that when you hover your mouse over it it opens another Object Dock above (off to side or under) Object Dock (a sub menu), this could have any of the other icons/dockets in it the same as the main one.

I am not sure but I think kkmenu does that.

I bet you I am wrong though...

You can do something similar to that with KkMenu. I tried it out, but it didnt work great for me. Actually I couldnt get it to work at all. That might be what you're looking for though.

kkmenu took me a bit to figure out but once you get it working it's great, however I'd been wanting "sub" object dock menus myself. I don't know how "possible" it is, but if it's possible I think we all know who could do it.

give me an A, give me a V.....

subDocks would be pretty sweet! Also, being able to have more than one dock active at a time would be great too!

I am already busy on a menu docklet that should work like a "sub dock". That means, you could place docklets on it, shortcuts etc. The only problem I am having right now is that I am working on a lot of projects:
- Menu Docklet
- WinSounder
- IM Bubbling
- Note Docklet
- File Monitor Docklet
- Virtual Pet Docklet
- PDW
- MP3 Docklet
- IMAP/Hotmail Emailchecker Docklet
- etc... etc... etc...

And then you receive an e-mail from stardock with:

EmailChecker 2.1 - Update Skin
Simple Digital Clock - Update Skin
MP3 Player Docklet - Update Skin
Calendar Docklet 3.2 - Update Skin
Animated Shortcut - Update Skin
Calendar Docklet v3 - Update Skin
Hard Disk Monitor Docklet - Update Skin
Extended Calendar Docklet - Update Skin
MailChecker - Update Skin
Simple Calendar Docklet - Update Skin
Shutdown docklet - Update Skin
Startmenu Docklet - Update Skin

Sure I am willing to re-upload them, but most of these things I simply don't have anymore or are in some stage of development.
Maybe someone have some of these docklets?

I'd be happy too.
I'm having trouble accessing the "help upload" links right now though, I think my level's high enough to be able to do so? Just going to wait a bit to see if it starts working I suppose.
