Making good screenshots?

Saturday, November 22, 2003 by Stockholm Syndrome | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

OK I feel totally silly asking this, but heck that's never stopped me before.

So I was wondering, do people have any tips or guidelines on how to make the best screenshots to show off these artists great work? I'm talking about for my personal desktop and for the ScreenShots section if I ever submit one. Any suggestions? I feel like mine never look as good as others.

Do A print screen and pull it into a paint program.

What program(s) are you using to save the image?

I know *how* to do it. I mean like, how do people arrange them, what windows they leave open, stuff like that.

I usually use ACDSee 4.0 or just use the capture docklet on ObjectDock.
