OK daddy overload

Thursday, November 6, 2003 by IPlural | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

My 8 year old daughter is asking me what she should do if a boy try to kiss her.

SO I ask, well is this boy someone you want to kiss you and she pops off with

"No I don't want any boy trying to suck my tonsils down his throat"

mmm is it just me or has the first kiss moved way beyond and do I have a period of time where I can cherish beating boys fathers silly over them allowing their monster to accost my child?

sad thing is I raised two boys

IP....My 7 year old daughter is the same......they seem to pick up things which us parents think are way beyond their tender years.......i took her surfing to Tenerife last week and i learnt a whole new vocabulary......Wipe out etc etc etc......they grow up far too soon for my liking

I don't think you can really appreciate the female gender until you raise a daughter.
Happily, my 22 year old turned out to be a very stable, mature young lady. But now the shoe is on the other foot, since I've got a 5 year old boy. Was I really that horrid when I was that age?

You sound like my husband.  He is already preparing for when our daughter starts dating (she's only 5 now).  However, he has had lots of practice terrorizing boys who wanted to date his "baby" sister.  He might have some pointers if you want them

My father used to scatter rifle and shooting magazines around the house.  He really is in to guns (he used to hunt a lot) and had a target practice area on his 17 acres.  So, he left his reloading stuff out a lot, too.  I once got a comment from a friend who lived in Detroit (we lived in Northern Michigan in the country) of: "those guys downstate have the guns, but I'm scared to death of these country boys who know how to aim"....couldn't stop laughing about that for days...

My buddy and his brother are big, both ride Harley's and wear a lot of the logos and stuff. The plan has been to leave the bikes out front and great Shawn's daughters' dates at the door with glass of JD in hand, "How you doin' son?"

That was 86'd when Shawn's wife pointed out that the boy who wasn't intimitated was the one the girls would want to date. Nothin' is easy.
