Renaming desktop icons

Sunday, November 2, 2003 by Klatuu Berada | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. After doing the latest windows xp pro updates, Icon packager must be reloaded after every boot, and desktop icons revert to their original names (my computer, my network places...etc.) I have renamed them even in the registry, but they still revert > anyone else experiancing this?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Which updates did you do when you did it? You can review your update history to find which ones they were.
This could help people that know icon packager more then me let you know what the problem is. Maybe it was a bug that Microsoft patched and conflicted with the software. I'm not sure if I use icon packager and not sure if I already have the updates you just put in.
Ok, I have it installed. Now I only need to know which updates you did.
