Video Editing Tips : )

I have an english project in school. My group we decided to do a video (so do other groups). I'm responsible for the editing, FX etc. This is my first time even though I have some experience with Adobe Premier in the past(editing some mpg anime movie). I want to ask if anyone know any good tutorial out there on the web that might help me or if you have some of your own tips that you would like to give me. I want to put this on a tape to show it to the class on TV. I don't know if buying a new graphic card will speed up my work.

No, since you're not dealing with 3D work, a new graphics card may not help. However, if you have integrated graphics, a simple expansion might help, so the graphics subsystem can have its own memory. Premiere is largely CPU dependent. I, uh, don't know of an tutorials but you know, just Google "Premier tutorial" and you'll have a couple thousand choices.
