Bias! (Web)

I think you guys are kind of taking advantage of your administrator powers here. That was a little unfair to lock the thread. By downloading web packages, I meant free trials. See, you should really consider things before you just 'lock' a thread, or excile someone. Now can someone more civilised please tell me a few Web Designing packages I could look up.

You mentioned waraz in your other thread. thats why it got locked. Kazaa and limewire are not tolerated around here.

Why don't you just google it?

No idea why anyone would look for (truly) free software on Kazaa...

Here's the link you need: http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/products.asp

I would suggest notepad as a webdesign kit, and later HTMLKit ( http://www.chami.com/html-kit/ )when you don't need a program to do it for you.

If it's just a trial then you can get those at the homepage of the developers. (ie if you want a trial of 3ds max you go to discreet's site, not kazaa, we all know what file sharing programs are for ) No one uses kazaa or limewire to get trials. If that is what you really meant, maybe you should have considered saying so...and your not exiled anyway.

The mention of Kazaa invariably invokes thoughts of those things most despised amongst an online community of responsible adults, namely warez and copyright violation/theft.

Certainly there are 'legitimate' uses for such programs, but the vast majority is illegitimate....

Bakerstreet, there isn't any reason anyone is going to use Pirates-R-Us (Kazaa) for trial software..

gizzimo just assumes everyone else is just as stupid as they are to present that line to actually buy it.

I don't see any use for Kazaa when ever free program and trial program I have wanted can be found at their homepages or a website such as download.com. For music I use iTunes because it has a wide selection of music and the copyright owners get paid when you purchase of it.

gizzimo: First you request for warez, and then you think we're actually stupid enough to believe you use Kazaa and Limewire to download trial versions? And lastly, you have the nerve of accusing us of power abuse?

I strongly urge you to stop right there before you dig yourself any deeper in the hole.

You can get hold of any number of 'trial' programs on the usual magazine CD-DVD cover discs ....
Of course, you can only test them out but that is what you want to do .... or is it?
Whatever, Dreamweaver MX is my weapon of choice.

getting trials from a laggy kazaa connection while you can download it from the developer's homepage with unlimited speed... yeah, right

Having invested a fair sum of money in the 2nd Harry Potter film, all the freeloaders at Kazza that downloaded the film, lost me and others a lot of much needed cash.

Kazza should be destroyed, IMHO

Yeah I'll get the Trial of Dreamweaver my mate just recommended it. I didn't accuse anyone of power abuse, I just believe you should ask about your accusation first to eradicate the assumption. Assumptions suck don't they? My mother always assumes I am smoking in her house from the smoke patches on some of the ceiling in the Kitchen. What she fails to realise is that her friends smoke, and they and my mother are usually in the Kitchen for the usual gossip. Sorry but you also misunderstand about the Kazaa Limewire thing. I'ver never used either of them. It's just my friends at school told me that's what I should use to download stuff, and I put 2 and 2 together and decided to use that to download trials. I wasn't aware of trial downloads on the Net. Anyway, Thanks - got the Dreamweaver Trial now so I'm happy.

I didn't accuse anyone of power abuse

break down the opening post

I think you guys are kind of taking advantage of your administrator powers here.

Setting up to assume position of victim...

That was a little unfair to lock the thread.

Has assumed the roll of victim and proof of the Administrators abuse of power...

By downloading web packages, I meant free trials.

Explanation to prove honest intent and setting ones self up to take moral high ground...

See, you should really consider things before you just 'lock' a thread, or excile someone.

High ground taken and chastising comences...

Now can someone more civilised please tell me a few Web Designing packages I could look up.

Moral position realized, now on to the original list of needed application's and origional locked thread context. The only question left is to what intent. Do the listed programs get downloaded as trials as claimed or are they added to a list compiled to be sought out on nefarious sites and ftp servers?

Benefit of the doubt is an odd thing, the benefit is only there up until such time as all doubt is removed.

I'd suggest not bringing up the subject of pirating again even by mistake, as it would only serve to push the bar over making the doubt more transparent.

anyway...

Come on gizzimo, you really think we are total idiots.

Let's just drop this matter right now, and learn that warez requests are not tolerated on this site.  If you want to use Kazaa to download warez, it's between you and your conscience; none of our business here. But just request any here, because the next time will just ern you an exile from thie site.

BTW Dreamweaver is your best choice. If your serious about web design, I encourage you to save your money to buy it, the trial will only last you 30 days.

IPlural just killed it...how could he ever respond after reading that? Poor guy...it's really not his fault, kazaa is there for the taking, it's like leaving someone alone in a room with a red button...the ones with the unfortunate disease of 'duhwhich-wa-ydid-hegoge-orge' always end up like gizzimo here...

What's Kazaa? Where can you download it for free? Can you download the internet with it? Does it come with a free smurf?

Fuzzy Logic has a motto:- "If you can't eat it, it's not worth bothering with"
