Losing Icons

On many of the skins , but not all of them , I lose the Start Menu icons for the "Logoff and Turnoff" buttons after playing certain games and returning to the Start Menu . In place of the icons I have little solid black squares.
Any idea why this happens only with some skins and not with others and is there a fix I can apply.
"Centurion" , one of the best skins I've seen and one that I would like to use permanently has this problem and I would very much like to fix it.
One of the games that cause this to occur is "Dirt Track Racing" by Ratbag games.

yep, me too with the Disney games...thank goodness it's an easy fix.
