A great concept - and I'd really like to see a usable version of it.
0.2.0.0 crashes on both of my systems upon excecution, with a .NET framework error message.
The older 0.1.4 beta will load - but when you bring the menu up, the screen goes black (aside from the menu.) If I turn on transparency it freezes the entire system when it tries to draw the menu.
Oddly, at the default sizes, the first ring of the menu takes up nearly 3/4 of my notebook's 1024x768 screen. Oy. I think I saw options to make it smaller the one time I was able to get the config up.
Still, this is one to watch, especially if you can make it SMALLER so that it's, well usable.
EDIT: Played with it more. Edited the config to turn off transparency, and then went in again. Yeah, you can make the icons smaller from the default 128. I turned them down to 32 (though they were actually more about 24 at that setting,) and it works with transparency. Just -VERY- slowly. Might help to turn off the animations and such - but still, like I said, one to keep an eye on as it's developed and matures.
I like the concept - I used to use the circular right-click menu with Mozilla - very slick.

you guys probably have to download the Managed Directx Assemblies on the orbit website to get it to work. And it requires .NET 1.1 too. Maybe that will fix the problems you're having.

It's a nice idea, but it still needs a lot of work before it's even close to useable. The Managed DirectX Assemblies did fix the crash, but every time I open the dock the screen goes black and then fades back into the desktop. It's certainly got potential though.

Among other things, it uses far too much RAM. 26 megs when it starts, and at one point it had 134 megs tied up.

It's definetly not perfect still, and totally a memory hog lol (mine's staying around 35 megs), but the black screen problem you fix by turning off "fake transparency, and turn on use real transparency. Completely functional? No. But it's really REALLY neat in how it works, thats for sure. The most annoying thing I've run into is the lack of settings you have available for what pops up the item.

I have to download the .net framework 1.1 now. For some reason, this program does not like the 2.0 beta. I need to write a letter to Microsoft about how I am only getting 12kb/s.
