Themes
Friday, October 10, 2003 by Wesley Foust | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
My son has left home and I must now learn how to do with the computer on my own. I found this site through "Call for Help Daily" in the interest of learning. The art on this web site is fantastic and I would like to use some on my own computer and on my computer at work. I do not want to actually change or make up any new themes. Other than downloading the items I would like to use, what else must I have in order to make them work on my XP system?

Hi,Wesley Foust. Well it all depends on what you would like to use on your computer.
You can download all the the programs for free but not all are the full versions. Once you find what you like you may then make the decision to purchase the full versions of the programs.
WindowBlinds changes the look of the windows on your computer.http://www.windowblinds.net/
CursorXP will change your cursor and you can have it animated.

Logons changes your logon screen. https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/
WinAmp is for your music.http://www.winamp.com/
as are WinMedia skins for your Windows Media player.
SysMetrix is a skinnable clock and metering application.

IconPackager will change the look of your icons all at once.

And lots more. The site also has a wonderful variety of Wallpapers.
For all the programs I just mentioned there are Libraries to the left of your screen here where you can download all kind of skin for the programs.Have lots of fun with it and do not be shy. If you have questions about the programs there are plenty of people around here willing to help.
